Between 12:30am and 4am PST on Sunday, Nov. 27, we plan to update the OS on our router and then reboot it. We expect that this will cause a few minutes of connectivity loss for customers in Seattle. We may also need to reboot the router a second time.
We are doing this emergency maintenance in order to bring back online some interfaces that stopped working this afternoon -- we believe due to a software issue.
There is a slim possibility that this reboot will expose further problems with the router and require that we replace it or take other additional steps. If that is the case, downtime may be longer than a few minutes.
