Guide to using the VPN client on a Windows PC

Here’s a clear, practical guide to using the VPN client on a Windows PC:

1. Download the VPN Client

  1. Check the email "New VPN Service Account" in your inbox or via Email History.

  2. Look for Download Links for VPN Software and click on it.

  3. Click the Download Here link below for Microsoft Windows (usually a vpnclient.exe file).

  4. Or you may download it HERE.

2. Install the Software

  1. Open the downloaded vpnclient.exe file.

  2. Click Install and follow the setup wizard.

  3. Once installed, launch the VPN client.

3. Log In to the VPN Client

  • Use the VPN username and password provided in the email with your VPN Service account.

  • Enter credentials and click Login.

4. Connect to a Server

After logging in:

  1. You’ll see a list of available VPN servers (countries/locations).

  2. Choose your preferred location (e.g., US, UK, Singapore, Philippines).

  3. Click Connect.

Once connected:

  • Your IP address will change.

  • Your traffic will be encrypted.

5. Verify Connection

To confirm it’s working:

  • Visit a site like “what is my IP” in your browser.

  • It should show the VPN server location instead of your real location.

6. Optional Settings (Recommended)

Inside the VPN client:

  • Enable Auto-connect on startup (if needed).

  • Turn on Kill Switch (disconnects internet if VPN drops).

  • Choose protocol (OpenVPN, IKEv2, etc.) if available.

7. Disconnecting

  • Open the client and click Disconnect when done.

Troubleshooting Tips

If you run into issues:

  • Can’t connect?

    • Try a different server location.

    • Switch VPN protocol (if available).

  • Slow speed?

    • Choose a server closer to your location (e.g., Singapore for the Philippines).

  • Login failed?

    • Double-check VPN Service Account access information in your email or via Email History.
